Endorsements

I understand how difficult it can be to get a good feel for someone on paper, or by looking through their code. While I pride myself on being an exceptional employee, freelancer, and person sometimes you just need someone else's opinion as well. Below are a few of the endorsements I have received throughout my career.

  • Glenn Smith

    Department of Public Safety
    University of Utah Health

"I have had the pleasure to work with Aroha Dobson in creating a new program for the University of Utah. Her organizational skills and excellent communication were instrumental in the successful rollout of the Behavioral Emergency Response Team. Aroha is reliable and met deadlines when tasked with assignments. Aroha is a very outgoing individual and is a team player that brings a positive work environment with her. "

  • Mary Andolsek, LCSW, CT

    Adult Cystic Fibrosis Social Work
    University of Utah Health

"I have worked closely with Aroha Dobson while she was the Administrative Assistant on the Acute Internal Medicine Unit. Aroha is intelligent, organized, creative, has a positive attitude and works well independently. Aroha is always willing to tackle a project, brain storm with teammates and follows through with assignments. It was always a pleasure to work with her. "

  • Sandra Stanger

Executive Assistant to Margaret Pearce, Executive Nursing Officer
    University of Utah Health

"I worked with Aroha Dobson at the University of Utah Hospital. She was a top-notch assistant. Aroha was an absolute joy to work with, one of my favorite people at the hospital. She was so kind and personable. She was knowledgeable in all hospital processes and procedures, a super quick learner, but also resourceful in finding out answers on her own. She would jump in and help at a moment’s notice but also wasn’t afraid to ask for help. In my opinion, Aroha’s strength is her delightful personality. Positivity, a sense of humor and kindness go a long way and she has all of those qualities. She lifted my spirits at work and I looked forward to seeing her and talking with her throughout the day. She’s a true gem."

Aroha Dobson

Junior Developer

Hello! My name is Aroha! It translates to love in Maori.

I love puzzles, have a passion for problem-solving, and working on complex and intensive projects. I thrive on producing innovative, intuitive and appealing products, and striving to be the best at what I do. I've worked in a multitude of environments and settings; anywhere from Bartending and Hospitality to Medical Insurance, Billing and even into Administration. I have become proficient and confident in building interpersonal relationships, problem-solving, quick learning, working in fast-paced, high-stress situations, and multitasking both autonomously and within teams.

I've always loved computers and the magic that they produce, and have loved learning how to make that magic happen. While I am currently a Junior Developer, I don't intend on staying that way for long. I would love to have the opportunity to grow and thrive in a healthy and balanced working environment -- let me know how I can do that for your team!
